The fresh flowers were delivered and the air conditioning had been running for hours to cool the walls and the marble floors as a help in case the fuses blew out as they usually did.
The flowers were painstaking redone because even with lots of Tamil to English and back again translation the flowers were twice as high as requested. Alls well that ends well and the flowers were completed in time with such an abundance that we were able to adorn the piano too. (The members said that they felt like they were getting a touch of conference in Salt Lake.)
Everything was in order for the first ever Priesthood leadership and the Saturday night adult session of district conference. All the full time missionaries had been praying for success and our reward was the blessing that the air conditioning did not blow out. We wanted it to be a special evening for our mission president and his wife at this first hosting of a general authority.
